Individual Frequently asked Questions
and Answers
What does a coach do?
A coach helps people to enhance
and improve the skills and talents they already have and helps people
focus on and achieve their goals; such as, improving relationships
at home and at work, improving their career prospects, changing
a personal or financial habit that is getting in the way of them
achieving their goals, improving their outlook on life, and regaining
positive emotional energy and enthusiasm.
A coach helps people make
the changes they want to make in their life!
How does a coaching program work?
During one or two initial coaching
sessions the coach and their client explore areas of greatest need
and define specific life or career goals. Agreement is then reached
on how many coaching sessions are needed and over what period of
time the coaching will happen, plus what commitments the coach and
client need to make to work together effectively.
Coaching sessions are usually from
50 minutes to two hours face-to-face, sometimes 30 minutes to one
hour by telephone. Coaching can also involve email, on-line chat,
fax or mail communication.
Coaching fees can vary depending
on whether the service is career coaching, life coaching, corporate
coaching, VIP or executive coaching, or business coaching. Coaching
fees need to be discussed with the coach prior to engagement. Coaching
fees are paid at the time the service is delivered.
Coaching can involve the use of
handouts, questionnaires, and personal journals.
Many coaches offer a free
intial 30 minute session so you can try before you buy!
